The people here are so amazing and funny. We have experiences every day where my comp and I just bust up laughing because of something that just happened.
This week was pretty awesome! Not a ton of super exciting things happened...but we helped our investigator Mary move! On Saturday a bunch of member were there and she had family there to help too. We worked so hard and we got it done so quickly! Her and her family were so impressed! They told us they were gonna write a letter to our mission president telling him how much they appreciate us haha. Mary's son even tried to offer money because he was convinced that no one nowadays would ever help do something like that! We had a great conversation with him about missionary work and what we do and even some things that we believe!
We also had some successful tracting this week! (Well, better than usual) We had a lot of doorstep lessons! Sadly none were interested in having us come over again but we know that we are doing the right thing and planting those small seeds of the gospel in their lives so that hopefully one day something will come of it!
We had an awesome lesson with Ayda and her husband Hymie (spelling?) this week!!!! They're the ones from Colombia and speak little English. We were planning to have the Spanish elders come with us because we are probably gonna pass them off to the elders but they ended up being sick... :( but it was an amazing lesson anyways and they are progressing so much! We can see a light come into their eyes when we share new doctrine with them and bring the spirit into the lessons!
Happy Easter to everyone! We got to spend Easter at a members house with a bunch of the young families in the ward who have little kids:) We also got to teach the 6/7 year old primary class at church! We taught them about missionary work and had them make their own name tags! They all left class with them pinned on:) It was so cute:)
While we were at the Easter dinner we got to share some thoughts on the Resurrection of Christ. We shared the "Because of Him" video (my favorite!). If you haven't seen it I invite you to watch it, and also the new video the Church put out for this Easter called "Hallelujah".
I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter! Have a great week! I love and miss you all!
